A B Graphic International (ABG) has maintained strong global sales of its Vectra turret rewinder, with the latest installation of an AutoSet SGTR1700-4 at US-based label converter, Diversified Labeling Solutions (DLS).

An ABG customer since 2006, DLS has invested in a number of turret rewinders over the years. Due to significant growth in demand for pressure sensitive labels, and to expand production of specialized products, including small roll labels, the company has recently made investments in new equipment across all of its facilities. This investment includes two new Vectra rewinders that will work inline with new presses in both its Reno, NV, and Itasca, IL, facilities.

“For the last year and a half, we have seen unprecedented demand for labels. Growth has been especially pronounced in large volume label orders for manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, and logistics operations,” says Jim Kersten, DLS CEO. “This new equipment has allowed us to substantially increase our capacity, while also expanding our geographic reach.”

ABG’s Vectra AutoSet Model SGTR1700-4 glueless turret rewinder provides automatic setup and changeover features, enabling DLS to save hours of costly set up and changeover time while also reducing inventory and cutting waste.

“The Vectra turret rewinders offer us greater flexibility in producing long run orders more efficiently inline while allowing us the opportunity to run small finished rolls or larger finished rolls for the markets we serve,” adds Kersten. “Additionally, features that are important to us, such as a glueless operation, integrated labeler systems and auto load processes, all help make us more efficient and more competitive.
